As a musician/producer Greg has performed over the years with Dave Brubeck, Sadao Watanabe, Terumasa Hinu among others. His songs have y been featured on the hit ABC/Family and Freeform show Pretty Little Liars and have also been featured on independent radio stations across the country – including KCRW. He wrote over 75 children’s songs for Zodiac Island. He recorded a song One World, One Dream, which became an unofficial theme song for the Beijing 2008 Olympics and which helped raise money for earthquake victims in Sichuan.
Greg was the c0-founder of the jazz/world-beat/alternative label – Amosaya Records, which released over 25 records between 1994 and 2004, including: Ben Wolfe’s “Murray’s Cadillac, Jack Perla’s “Swimming Lessons for the Dead”, Wendy Luck, “The Ancient Key”, Chris McNulty’s “A Time for Love,” Ned Goold’s “Goold”, David Schumacher’s “From Another Life,” Moses Blue “The Thing Is,” Del’s Patio, Dick Griffin’s “All Blues”, Nasar Abadey “Mirage” and Scott Whitfield’s “Hiding In Plain Sight” among others.
His song 1984″was released on London Records and his video of the song 1984 garnered a number of awards, and was featured on a number of shows including MTV Basement Tapes. He has also written music for documentaries, including the award-winning, AIDS: The Facts of Life. He has produced 11 records and is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
